English Sparkling Wine – Pinot Blend Brut

INTRODUCING

GOODWORTH 2019 PINOT BLEND BRUT

(50% Pinot Noir, 50% Pinot Meunier)

This is a perfect and exact blend between Pinot Noir, chosen for its red fruits aroma, its body, depth of flavour and fullness, and Pinot Meunier, our favourite, for its aromatic sweetness,  a lush fruitiness and the capacity to acquire the roundness of age comparatively rapidly.

The Pinot Noir grape provides the back-bone of our wine, whilst the Pinot Meunier lends softness and orchard fruit aromas. A beautifully rich golden colour as well as an intense nose with red fruit aromas, such as red cherry, cranberry and redcurrant, are enticing us to take a first sip. A hint of strawberry lingers in the background. A creamy, full mouthfeel contributes to a very long finish. Ideal served on its own as an apéritif or try it alongside a quiche Lorraine or Parma ham.

Shop News June 2023

Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Abbotts Ann Village Shop Association (AAVSA)
The AGM of AAVSA will be held on Tuesday 20th June 2023 at 7 p.m. In Abbotts Ann Church of England Primary School (see formal notice within shop).

New Forest Ice Cream
We hope that those who attended The Coronation Big Family lunch on Sunday 7th May enjoyed their New Forest Ice Cream desert.  It was donated by your Village Shop!

Shop Broadband
The Shop has at last received its upgrade to full fibre Broadband.  Our thanks go to Maureen Flood for pushing it through and to Keith Saunders for all his help, especially on installation day.  Customers have been very patient throughout this period, for which we thank them, and thanks also to our volunteers who have endured many frustrating moments.  All should be well now with all card transactions being much speedier.

Flower Boxes
Once again we are indebted to Linda Burt, for the lovely display of Summer flowers in the boxes outside the Shop. Thank you Linda.

Pizza Night
I am sorry to have to inform you that May saw the last Friday Pizza night.  Unfortunately no one came forward to take it on and the number of orders had dropped off.  Thank you Julia for your efforts.

Susan Mckeever
Susan Mckeever has been a huge asset to our band of volunteers in the Shop for the 2 ½ years she and David lived in the village.  We bade farewell to her in the Shop on the 4th May just before they returned to Canada.  We wish you all the best Susan.
